This is the absolute best thing you will EVER eat. This photo does not do it justice. But to be honest I do not have a photo of it so this will have to do. It is my favorite recipe of any. It is not a diet dish by any means but it is comfort food that is next to none. I grew up eating this recipe and I taught my daughter to make it and it is already my granddaughter’s favorite as well. It is a recipe handed down to my mom from her grandmother. I’d say as far back as 1850’s.
This is an old recipe and is a traditional Swedish dish. Tradition it to use Lingonberry jelly but if you prefer you can use cranberry, red currant or raspberry jelly.
Chili is must forFall. This one is so flavorful you will eat it into winter too. If you soak the dry beans for several hours ahead of time, they will require less cooking time. Make sure if you do this to drain the soaking water and replace with fresh water before cooking the beans.
This Bolognese sauce is a slow cooked for at least a couple of hours and the sauce is deep, rich, flavorful and worth the time it takes to prepare.A true Italian specialty that I will always love.
